About Me
My name Charlie Horrell and I would like to tell you a little about myself and the reason I wanted to make the Ozark Quick Grill. First, my dad, being an outdoors man invented one of the first portable charcoal grills in the mid 60’s when I was still in high school and I believe that is where I got my inspiration. The outdoors has always been my favorite place to be, even as a young boy I loved to fish, hunt, camp and canoe. As I got older, I started thinking about how great it would be to have a camp fire grill that was easy and quick to put up, portable, functional and one that would last. You may find you can get some grills that are quick to put up, but are not very functional and definitely not as durable.
History
This design is one I have worked on for several years and I believe that now I have the grill that fits all the criteria. Why build it now? As I was reading in the Arkansas Wildlife magazine, it seemed to me that I was not the only one in need of a portable grill, there were others looking for the same thing, so I went to work to make the Ozark Quick Grill as durable as possible, portable, and with all the conveniences such as a Sheppard’s hook for your stew pot, and shelf for your coffee pot, while still having the whole bottom grill for steaks, hot dogs, breakfast etc.
Size
The Ozark Quick Grill even has a rotisserie for chicken all while fitting into a 12″ x 24″ x 1″ portable box with weight a little less than a case of sodas. It is very simple to set-up and can be done in 15 seconds.
